Read – “The Library of Babel” in Ficciones!

With Borges, Roland Barthes idea of literature as “the question minus the answer” really applies. Borges’ little stories (he modestly calls them ficciones) are puzzles. It’s useful to think about what he is questioning, rather than trying to find an answer…
